Since 2005 • Happy New Year!

Say hello to Caroline.

In case you don’t already know, Lauren and I have a new beautiful little niece named Caroline. God has blessed John and Katie with yet another little girl. Lauren’s sister Mandy took these photos on her first day and we thought you might enjoy them. So… enjoy getting to know Baby Caroline.

HOME from Paris.

We’re home! Here’s some photos from Paris, and from Limoges, where the 24hr design competition was. They didn’t win but had a great time just enjoying where they ended up. Hope you enjoy these photos — complete with captions since we made you wait a little while. =)

The Wedding Album

In case you haven’t been counting like we have been, you may have missed that today was our 6 month anniversary. Half way to the big ONE! So to celebrate this milestone, we’d like to show everyone every single last photo that we chose to keep from our magnificent photographer. Scanned in, cropped and finally added to our iPhoto library, this ordeal was quite the undertaking — what better way to celebrate the MLK holiday, right? But hey, now we’ve got backups gallore of our photos. What’s more? We scanned them in at ultra 600dpi High Res — thats right — each image, if we were to print as is, would be poster sized. Something like 42″ X 36″ of pure wedding bliss. So here’s a fairly large selection of the images for you to see once and for all. We recommend that you do not sit through them all in one sitting. Yes, instead we recommend that you come back a couple of times this week to check them out in small doses . . . so that 1.) That you don’t get sick of seeing our pretty faces. AND 2.) So that our daily visitor stats go up, so that Lauren can sleep better.

Finally, at Lauren’s request, she recommends that you put on some really sappy music to enjoy the images best.

Enjoy!

I Have the Best Husband….

He did it! For awhile now, I’ve been asking Josh if we can go to Paris and visit Tiffany. (I’m not that high maintenance, I was mostly kidding.)
Well, around 9:30 last night, I got a phonecall from Josh.
“Hey. We won.”

“Are you serious?!?!”

“We’re going to Paris.”

“Stop it. That’s not funny.”

“No, for real, we’re going.”

Way, way too calm for someone who just won A DESIGN COMPETITiON and will go on to COMPETE IN an INTERNATIONAL competition in PARIS!!!!!

My incredibly talented husband entered a 24 hour design competition with his friend Kevin and two other guys. They had from 8:30 in the morning until 8:30 the next morning to build a website up from scratch. And no, they had no idea what the theme would be until the night of. They had no preparation, ran on no sleep, but just brilliant design.
Their website won. On to Paris, and dare we hope, international acclaim?

I am so incredibly proud of you, Josh.

Josh’s Edit: You must have Flash 8 (don’t worry: It is a free, safe thing to download) to view the site we created. Not much really to the site, but boy was it ever a fun event! And here’s some photos from the event.

Bonus: Here’s the other competing sites. The only thing we had to design the site by was this: “To act or not to act. Our planet in 50 years time.” Thanks, Lauren. See you in February, Tiff!

Photo Dump ’05

As you can imagine, over the last few months we’ve accumulated a thousand million photos. Well, we’ve finally had the chance to organize the best and put them up — even with commentary! The actual Wedding and Reception photos are not available to view yet (I know. Sigh.), but Lauren and I are actually going through those as we speak. We got the official proofs this weekend and our first impression is definitely one of amazement. Quality, quality shots (hopefully) coming your way. Of course we’ve gotta scan those suckers in! Could take a while . . . but you can’t rush art.

Enjoy these in the meantime! Oh yeah, and if you want a nice high resolution photo for your desktop or something like that, just email us and we’ll shoot it along.

FIRST HOME!

About a month ago, Lauren and I stumbled upon a great apartment loft right near the Marietta Square. At the time though, it was too early to reserve a spot for July. But we had to have it.

Time elapsed.

We didn’t look anywhere else after finding out about Brumby and just prayed that a place would be available when the time was right. Well we got more than we had expected upon our visit this past Sunday and we walked away with our first home. Click on the thumbnail below to view a selection of photos we took of the place. And be sure to roll your mouse over the image to see the captions.

The basics:
It’s a 2 bedroom, one bathroom loft in Marietta, GA.
We’ll probably use one of the bedrooms as an office/workspace area.
Big ceilings, 1050 sq ft.
I move in June 1st. Lauren moves in after the honeymoon. :)
Fun. Awesome.

Hope you enjoy the photos!

"Come on . . . the pictures, already!"

Alright so here’s the set of photos from the family get-together a few weekends ago. If you want to get a high resolution copy of the image, just click on it as it comes up and a new window will open where you can right-click on the image to save it. The slideshow can be automatic or you can just click through them one by one to savor the good times for as long as you’d like! Thanks to Daddy and Mandy for taking the majority of these beautiful photographs. Enjoy!

P.S. If you can’t see the images, go here to install the free player.
