She’s Got It

Nora’s been a busy girl! Being her mom and dad is so much fun. You never know what each day might bring with her. We love seeing all the little things she’s learning to do. Turning her head to face you when you talk to her. Sleeping a little longer at night. (Yahoo! Wahoo!) Tracking Remy with her eyes and smiling at him. Taking a bath and letting the water flow down her face without screaming. Laughing her tiny little laugh.
She recently discovered that she has hands. The first few days, she just stared at one of them for a few seconds. You could almost see her thinking and wondering what use this strange thing could be to her. Yesterday she decided that the hand belongs in her mouth. But just when she was about to make contact, her motor skills failed her. And we learned that there are some things we can’t do for her. (In other words, trying to force her to suck on her hand in hopes of teaching the wondrous, elusive process known as self soothing.) It was just one of the many things she has had to learn on her own.

I have been waiting and hoping for a new video of Nora—and this one was worth the wait. Up close and personal! Absolutely adorable!!! How amazing to have such video “memory makers”! With these little gems, you will always remember when Nora was a baby and she will love seeing them. The next best thing is when she is here IN PERSON!!!!
