Remy Goes to Work

Most Google campuses allow dogs any day of the week, which is pretty cool. However the one I’m currently at in Kirkland is leased and the landlords don’t allow them. Once we move into our own campus in February, being built just down the street, we’ll be able to have dog day everyday. Until then, we have annual events in which Googler’s dogs are treated like celebrities. The highlight of the day, is the dog massage. Yes, a specialist–if that’s what you want to call them, came in to give out free dog massages, as well as special sessions on “accupressure, communication and energetics”. Just reading the email announcing the day made me burst out laughing.

Here’s a little video from the day… more on the massage later. That video is still needing some crafting…

I wonder how many Google employees were in charge of the “doggy goody bags” complete with personalized name badges? I’d say Google must be doing very well financially. And why not? I’ve already used it several times this morning.

Loved the video Josh! Sorry to hear Remy only made it ’til lunch. Mary Ellen thought that was hilarious when Gran told her. I guess the massage didn’t have the lasting effects one would have hoped for. Happy Birthday today!

Well that’s sort of ridiculous… but sort of awesome at the same time.

It made me really miss the Remster though. I so sad now.

How cute! It’s just like the West Coast to have your dog go to work with you! Come on Atlanta-join in!! I was impressed that Remi did obey you and he looked so sweet and innocent, I can’t imagine why you had to have Lauren come and get him!
I am watching “Sleepless in Seattle” on TV, awe…….
    Hope you are enjoying Seattle.
    Love, Aunt Barbsie

…so Mark Driscoll was right, people in Seattle do worship their dogs…I thought he was just exaggerating for comic effect… good luck with that…
